A Personal Story
For many years, art has been a constant presence in my life. From childhood through my formal studies in Fine Arts and Arts Administration, creativity has always been a way for me to explore ideas, emotions, and the deeper layers of human experience.
When I entered menopause, however, I found myself facing a transition I had not fully anticipated. Like many women, I experienced a range of physical, emotional, and psychological changes that were often difficult to understand. At times, it felt as though the person I had known myself to be was shifting in unfamiliar ways.
During this period, I returned to the creative process in a more personal and reflective way. Through drawing, painting, and creative exploration, I discovered that art offered a powerful space to pause, reflect, and make sense of what I was experiencing. The act of creating allowed me to express feelings that were sometimes difficult to put into words and helped me reconnect with myself during a time of change.
Over time, I began to recognise that menopause is not simply a biological event but a profound life transition. It can be a period of questioning, reflection, and transformation.
This realisation inspired me to create this course.
My hope is to offer women a supportive and creative space where they can explore their own menopause journey through artistic expression. You do not need to be an artist to participate. All that is required is a willingness to be curious, reflective, and open to the creative process.
Through this course, I invite you to use creativity as a way to understand change, reconnect with yourself, and discover the wisdom that can emerge during this important stage of life.
